About The Event
Level 10/Associate Instrumental: $45 –Is for students 23 years and under as of January 1, 2023. Students performing in this competition must be at the Grade 10 or higher level. Repertoire must be chosen from an officially recognized Canadian syllabus, such as that of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Conservatory Canada, Contemporary Showcase, or the Canadian Music Showcase. The programme should include a minimum of two pieces. The programme must contain a minimum of 15 minutes of repertoire and must not exceed 20 minutes.
Level 10/Associate Vocal: $45 –Is for students 31 years and under as of January 1, 2023. Students performing in this competition must be at the Grade 10 or higher level. Repertoire must be chosen from an officially recognized Canadian syllabus, such as that of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Conservatory Canada, Contemporary Showcase, or the Canadian Music Showcase. The programme should include a minimum of two pieces. The programme must be a minumum of 15 minutes and must not exceed 20 minutes.
Level 8/9 Instrumental: $35– Instrumental Students performing in this competition must be at the Grade 8 or 9 level. Repertoire must be chosen from an officially recognized Canadian syllabus, such as that of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Conservatory Canada, Contemporary Showcase, or the Canadian Music Showcase. The programme should include two or three pieces from contrasting musical periods. The programme must not exceed 15 minutes and no less than 10 minutes.
Level 8/9 Vocal: $35–Vocal students performing in this competition must be at the Grade 8 or 9 level. Repertoire must be chosen from an officially recognized Canadian syllabus, such as that of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Conservatory Canada, Contemporary Showcase, or the Canadian Music Showcase. The programme should include a maximum of three contrasting selections (with a minimum of two languages). The programme must not exceed 15 minutes and no less than 10 minutes.
