SUSAN PAJOR

Susan Pajor has taught for over 30 years, and she is the owner and operator of Accent Piano School in Barrie. She was trained at the music art school: Kodály Zoltán Conservatory of Music in Debrecen.Her teaching and training as a musician is reflective of the famous Kodály - method.

She received her musical and pedagogical degrees at the Szent István University in Jászberény. She has experience incorporating Canadian music instruction alongside her European training. She has been an active member of ORMTA and CFMTA since 1999. She is part of the Barrie Branch, and she has held roles within that organization such as treasurer for 8 years, alongside her busy schedule. She is still very much involved with her branch.

Mrs. Pajor is a certified teacher by the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) as a Specialist in Elementary,Intermediate, and Advanced Piano, and Elementary and Intermediate Theory. 

She predominantly works with children as young as 5 years old to well into adulthood. 

 

Her enthusiasm, dedication, and passion for teaching inspire her students. Year after year, she sends the majority of her students to RCM Exams and she receives recognition in her branch for the top achievements in piano and music theory. In 2016, Mrs. Pajor received the Outstanding Contribution to Teaching Award from ORMTA. 

 

During the pandemic, her business, Accent Piano School underwent a rapid evolution to include online mode of learning. Despite the transition, seventeen students won 59 awards in 2021, and eighteen students won 76 awards in 2022 in local, provincial, and Canada-wide festivals. Amidst the pandemic, Accent Piano School held 5 virtual and 2 in-person concerts. Currently, Accent Piano School offers mainly in-person lessons, however, offers online classes as needed.
